18 gauge 4 conductor wire (red/green/blue/black) is a low voltage lighting wire that can be used in order to leave space in between segments of 24 Volt Strip Lights or connect your RGB LED tape lights installation to power. This 18 gauge solid wire also works great in lieu of an LED corner connector should you need to make a 90-degree turn between segments. Our RGB low voltage lighting wire is available in 25ft, 50ft, and 100ft lengths, as well as UL listed and suitable for all commercial LED lighting purposes. This LED wire can be used in conjunction with our RGB series of LED solderless connectors (clips).
How to use 18 gauge solid wire with Lumilum LED strip light clips:
- When using end-to-end LED solderless connectors, slightly separate the silicone cover from the 24V LED lights at the copper connector points where the strip ends or is cut. Insert one of the LED strip light ends into each side of the LED strip clips and then to properly secure the connection, clamp down until you hear a snap.
- When using end-to-wire LED solderless connectors, slightly separate the silicone cover from the 24V LED lights at the copper connector points where the strip ends or is cut. Insert the LED strip light end into the flat side of the clip and the wires into the slotted wire side. Once inserted into each side of the LED strip clips, clamp down until you hear a snap and that will secure the connection.
