This 24V dimmable universal LED transformer delivers 5-way universal dimming with power options of 40W, 60W, 96W, 150W, 192W, or 288W, supporting MLV, ELV, Triac, 0-10V, PWM potentiometer dimming. Designed for seamless compatibility with a wide range of LED strips and dimmers, it ensures smooth, flicker-free dimming down to 1%, giving you precise control over your lighting.
Available in various wattages 40W - 288W, this universal 24V LED transformer can be operated with almost any dimmer available online or at hardware stores (see dimmer compatibility list).
Driver Selection
Step 1: Determine Total Wattage
Calculate the total wattage of the LED strip lights you plan to use. This is done by multiplying the strip's wattage per foot (or meter) by the total length you'll need.
For example, if your strip uses 5 watts per foot and you need 20 feet, the calculation is:
Total Wattage = 5 watts per foot × 20 feet = 100 watts
Step 2: Add a Safety Margin
To ensure reliability and prevent overload, it's wise to add a safety margin of 20% to your total wattage. This means you will need a transformer that can handle:
Required Transformer Capacity = Total Wattage × 1.2, so 100 watts × 1.2 = 120 watts
Therefore, in this example, you should select a transformer with at least 120 watts capacity.
*Example: a 16.4ft strip is 50 watts x 1.2 = 60 watt driver is needed
