These silicone end caps are optional but recommended to seal the end of 120V COB LED strips (affix to the exposed end that has been cut or if new sections are created and need to be sealed).
It is recommended to use electrical grade silicone or UV glue for indoor installations where there is no moisture.
For outdoor or moisture-rich installation areas, it is necessary to use a marine-grade sealant (ex: 3M 5200 Marine Sealant) to fully secure and seal this end cap to your strip light, ensuring moisture will not enter and damage the LEDs.
